In 1976, George McNab started Mac Machine Company as a small precision aerospace shop in Baltimore. That spark still lights the floor today. His standard; do the hard work right, treat people well, ship parts you can stand behind is the foundation we still build on.
Over a decade ago the Pennypacker family purchased the company and chose to grow it the same way it was founded: as a “Family”. Barry, our CEO, together with Adam & his sister Amanda, have continually invested in People, Equipment, & the Culture. The result is an advanced-successful Aerospace, Defense, & Medical contract machining operation where Names & craftsmanship still matter.
This weekend we gathered to mark 50 successful years. We were especially grateful to celebrate alongside several retired employees whose shoulders we stand on every day, as well as a few key customers & dedicated suppliers who have helped shape Mac into what it is. Their partnership is part of this story too.
A huge thank you to Conrad’s Crabs for the venue, the Maryland crabs, & all the trimmings. Nothing says a Baltimore anniversary like a room full of people, a signed banner, a cake, (crab cake too!) and a RAVEN’s game on in the background.
